Today is going to be an unusual day. I got a call yesterday saying that there was a critical problems with a server. No real problem, happens all the time. So why did I get a call?
Well, it turns out that the problem is with a legacy server which has a whole lot of custom modifications to it. So, I need to help when it gets to the point of adding on the custom widgets and doohickies.
So, tonight I am flying to Boston for the weekend and spending Australia day working on a server in a business park in Boston. The upside is that Vesna is coming as well, and she will get a bit of time to look around the sites of Boston while I am working.
Hopefully we will get it all sorted on Saturday, so Vesna and I can go out and about in Boston together on the Sunday.
We fly back to New York on Sunday afternoon and back to my normal day job on Monday. Yep - going to be a crazy weekend!
Next weeend though - SuperBowl! The New York Giants are playing against the Patriots. Should be an awesome game!
