Busy fews weeks

Well, firstly, apologies for being such a slack blogger over the past
few weeks. It has been very hectic, but since I can post from my
blackberry - that is a pretty poor excuse.

Well, since the last major post a few things have happened. I had a
trip to San Diego and then Las Vegas with work. San Diego was
beautiful, lovely weather. Reminds me a lot of far north Queensland in
the winter time. There are a lot of boats around, and lots of
beautiful calm waters.

There is a massive 'car' culture - and everyone drives everywhere. It
was good to catch up with friends from the UK and Aus in my practice.
Also good to finally put the face to some names of people around the
US who I have worked with previously.

Then to Vegas. What a crazy place. I had a lot of work I needed to get
done, so I didn't really get out too much. On the Thursday night I
went for a long walk along the Vegas strip. The size and scale of it
is just out of this world. I have never really seen anything like it
before. I walked all the way around to the old strip which has casinos
like Circus Circus and the Sahara. These were state of the art when I
was last here. Now they are the rundown part of town with the new,
crazy casinos taking their place. Vesna and I are going to go there
again for my Birthday this year. Robin Williams is doing a standup
comedy show there and Vesna has got tickets.

Back on Friday night to NYC where Phil, a friend from Sydney was
visiting for the weekend. Lots of fun was had. It was raining very
heavily on Saturday, with a heavy low hanging fog - which made it
tough to see the sights of NY! But we still did a heap. Walked across
the Brooklyn bridge and a ton of other things.

I had got us courtside seats to the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Phil is a huge basketball fan and he loved it. A great night out.

Phil is insanely extroverted at the best of times, and once he found
out that his accent was a novelty in NY, he was just unbelievable. He
would have sent 15 people over to meet Vesna and I that he was
randomly chatting to. Just hilarious. We bundled Phil onto a plane to
Vegas (we haven't checked the news yet to find out what he got up
to!!) And settled into another busy work week. Vesna had her French
exam on, and I had a ton of work to get done.

Well, gradually catching up on posts. We have had Jere an Kylie visit
us as well. Some photos are posted, but I will post some commentary as
well soon.

Miss you all lots. Very envious of everyone at Terrigal over Easter.
Happy Easter all!!
