Off to Chicago

I am currently sitting on the tarmac at LGA airport in New York
waiting to take off a few hours late to Chicago for a few nights.
There is a conference there which Michael is chairing on the first day
and I am chairing it on day number 2.

New York over the weekend was hot and sticky. I was in Elmira on
Friday and the temperature there broke the all time record. It was
pretty warm!!

Ves and I relaxed byt the pool at our gym a lot. We went to a party
with a friend of ours on Saturday night, which was a lot of fun. They
have an awesome roof deck with fantastic views out over NYC, so that
was very cool.

Vesna has really been enjoying her job. She is doing really well with
French as well. She is hoping to do the intensive course next session
over the summer which would be a lot of work. Ves will be fine with it
though!

I start my econometrics component of my masters of finance today. I
tried to get ahead over the weekend. It was really tough. Trying to
get back into the studying mindset was really hard. Also, there are so
many terms and concepts which I don't understand at the moment, that
it is a tough slog. I am constantly looking things up as I am reading
it, which is hard. They recommend 20 hours per week for studying,
which could end up being pretty accurate. I do hope I haven't bitten
off more than I can chew with this! We'll see how I go after I get
into it.

I am back in NYC late on Wednesday night, and then I am off to Milford
in Connecticut on Friday. Should be a busy week.

Next weekend we are having a quiet on in NY again. I will probably end
up studying all weekend!

Gotta go!
