couple of days, and then up in Connecticuit, and then the week was
gone. The weekend was a bit of the same. Didn't really do that much,
but before we knew it, it was over.
We went out to a great dinner and drinks on Saturday night with some
friends, which was a lot of fun. On Friday night we went out to Newark
in New Jersey to have dinner with Jackie. We had a great night then as
well.
On Saturday we ended up doing a lot of study, and then on Sunday we
slept in a bit, went to Florent for the last time, and then went for a
nice long walk up the Hudson river on the West side of Manhattan. It
was right on sunset and we went past the west side heliport where we
took off just a couple of years ago. Very nice memories indeed!
This week will be pretty busy again. We are going out to see Bill
Clinton give a speech on tuesday night in radio city hall. This should
be a lot of fun!
Vesna is really enjoying her job, which is wondeful.
Summer is definitely here in the city. In the Village area the summer
fashions range from the fantastic, to the slightly horrifying.
Personally, I am happy to just go the shorts and t-shirt!
The bad thing about the summer is that the subway stations get
unbelievably hot and stifling. The trains themselves are
airconditioned, but the stations are not. Makes for some hot and
sticky mornings! I don't know how London manages with the tube not
being airconditioned at all!
Chattd to Mum and Dad on skype last night. It was great to see them
and have a catchup. They will be here in NYC very soon! Really looking
forward to it. Amy and Pete will be here soon after that too. Cannot
wait to see you guys!
Jo will be visiting from Finland in a few weeks as well which will be
a lot of fun. He is here for a conference in New Hampshire, but
dropping through NYC on the way.
We have a few other friends visiting from Sydney over the coming weeks
as well, so it is going to be a busy time for us. On top of this are
our studies kicking off as well! we really are going to have very
limited spare time!
